29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s).  Postal facility mail processing 1st floor:  The Clark Model ECG 30 reverse alarm and blinking alarm light were not operational, and employees were exposed to the potential of being struck by the forklift.  The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1118384, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/04/2016, with respect to a workplace located at the U.S Postal Service - West Sacramento.

Postal facility mail processing 2nd floor post 2-8B: A fire extinguisher visual gauge indicated it needed to be recharged.  The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1132671, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/23/2016, with respect to a workplace located at the U.S Postal Service - 1300 Evans Ave.

Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.  Postal facility mail processing 1st floor post F11: The circuit breaker panel (277/480 Volts) was not provided and maintained a minimum 3 feet working clearance.  The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1214352, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/20/2017, with respect to a workplace located at the U.S Postal Service - Taraval Street.

29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2): An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access.  Postal facility mail processing 1st floor aisle way between APBS 1 machine and building wall:  A postal metal mail cage obstructed the aisle way and there was 17 inches of access to the loading dock area.
