29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1) as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b):  Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:  a) On or about February 5, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees could exit the north door in the first floor TSA office leading into the airport garage space without keys, tools, or special knowledge in that employees need to scan a badge to unlock the door in order to exit the space.  b) On or about February 5, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees could exit the east door in the airport garage space without keys, tools, or special knowledge in that employees need to push a button on the wall next to the door to unlock the door in order to exit the space and the employer did not post signage alerting employees to the manual release device. Manual release devices must be identified by signage reading: "PUSH TO EXIT."  The Transportation Security Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1150000, Notice number 1, Item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 8, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 776 North Terminal Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
