29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) as required by 1960.8(b): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about September 11, 2019, in the logistics warehouse, the employer did not provide information and training to program assistants for hazardous chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and sulfuric acid which are stored in the warehouse. Training should cover the hazards associated with the chemicals, methods to detect the release of a hazardous chemicals, measures employees can take to protect themselves from exposure to the chemicals and safety data sheets including where employees can access them.
