Mechanical equipment used to lift or move lines or other material were not used within its maximum load rating and other design limitations for the conditions under which the mechanical equipment is being used:     (a)  Piney Branch Rd. and Peabody St., NW - On or about February 8, 2019, a crane operator exceeded the maximum load rating and/or other design limitations of a Altec Digger Derrick which resulted in the derrick's failure while using the derrick's boom to push the pole from side to side and back and forth while removing an abandoned utility pole.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
