29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Supermax Mill Press (In front of Door): On or about February 11, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Supermax mill press (Serial 90420155) to cut material off. The rotating bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts. b) Acer Mill Press (Far Right in Row to Left side of Door): On or about February 11, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Acer mill press to cut material off. The rotating bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts. c) Acer Mill Press (Middle of Row to Left side of Door): On or about February 11, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Acer mill press to cut material off. The rotating bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts. d) Bridgeport Mill Press (Far left of row to left side of door): On or about February 11, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Bridgeport mill press to cut material off.
