29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations. (a) The employer did not ensure an engineering survey was performed by a competent person to determine the probability of structural collapse during demolition work, thereby exposing employees to struck-by hazard and caught-in-between hazards. Azarian Wrecking, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.850(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1145988, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on June 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace location at 500 6th St., Racine, WI 53404.
