The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated Jobsite: The employee working from the basket of the Genie aerial lift, Model Number S40, was not attached to boom or basket by wearing a full body personal fall arrest system. Greenland Construction Services LLC was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1015597, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on 07/07/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 130 Olcott Way, Building 22, Ridgefield, CT 06877.

29 CFR 1926.454(a)(1): The employer failed to have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained regarding the nature of any electrical hazards, fall hazards and falling object hazards in the work area. Jobsite: The employee working from the basket of the Genie aerial lift, Model Number S40, without fall protection at a height approximately 25 feet above the ground was not trained to recognize the hazards associated with the aerial lift. Greenland Construction Services LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1926.454(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1052300, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on 05/19/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 130 Olcott Way, Ridgefield, CT 06877.
