29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Mail room: The hopper areas between stations on the Newstec SLS-1000 straight line inserter were not properly guarded in that an employee sustained an arm injury when she was caught between the basket and a shaft of the #3 hopper station, on or about March 7, 2019. Abatement Certification Required.
