The electric motor housing was suspended by an overhead crane.

29 CFR 1910.179(n)(3)(x): The employer shall insure that the operator does not leave his position at the controls while the load is suspended: a) On or about March 13, 2019, the Spray Painter in Spray Booth P-31E was coating a suspended electric motor housing with nobody manning the overhead crane controller. The Spray Painter operated the overhead crane to move the electric motor housing into and out of the spray booth.

29 CFR 1910.176(c): Housekeeping. Storage areas shall be kept free from accumulation of materials that constitute hazards from tripping, fire, explosion, or pest harborage. Vegetation control will be exercised when necessary: a) On or about March 13, 2019, the outdoor Skid/Shipping Container Storage Area had snow and banding straps among the rows and piles of skids and shipping containers. The snow and banding straps created tripping hazards to employees collecting skids and shipping containers to prepare products for shipping. Skids and shipping containers are moved by forklift from the outdoor Skid/Shipping Container Storage Area to where the products are being prepared for shipping.
