29 CFR 1910.134(h)(3)(ii)(B): Respirator inspections did not include a check of elastomeric parts for pliability and signs of deterioration.  Boat Yard: Employee(s) were performing prepping, painting, and cleaning operations on vessels. A 3M (6000) negative pressure respirator used by employee showed visible signs of deterioration on the elastic strap.  The respirator no longer provided a tight fighting face seal to protect against health hazards of paint mist, dust, and solvent vapor generated. Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards.
