OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees that were exposed to fire/explosion and struck by hazards while cutting into compressed gas cylinders: On or about March 27, 2019, an employee used a Stihl TS 420 Cut off Saw, which produces frictional heat and sparks, to cut through a compressed gas oxygen cylinder. The cylinder was not purged of gas prior to cutting exposing employees to fire/explosion and struck by hazards.
