29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: In Building #2, where the Overhead Gantry Cranes are maintained and stored, (Crane Bridge) Crane Operators/Maintenance workers are exposed to fall hazards of approximately 33 feet to the concreted below. The Crane Operators/Maintenance workers are exposed when entering the crane platforms prior to entering the cab. The following sections of the platform were not equipped with guardrails: a) Gantry Crane N, approximately 24 inch horizontal opening.
