29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: a) On or about April 17, 2019, at the southeast side of the exterior building, employees installing metal decking approximately 16 feet above a lower level were not protected from falling by any type of a fall protection system.

Strong Structural Steel, Ltd. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1904.40(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1340766, citation number 2, Item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 605 West Rancho Blanco Road Pharr, TX 78577.
