29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: a. Welsh Road Professional Office Building, 2137 Welsh Road, Philadelphia, PA 19115 - The employer did not ensure that employees working near the unprotected side of a flat roof used either personal fall-arrest systems, safety nets, guardrails or safety monitor. Employees engaging in roofing activities were exposed to approximately 30 foot fall hazard. Observed On or About 04/23/19 NE Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1285055, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 18 JULY 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1000 Buttonwood Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
