29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a.  On or about April 25, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee using a pneumatic nail gun did not wear safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to the hazards associated with eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  a.  On or about April 25, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting roofing operations, twenty-nine (29) feet above the ground, were not protected from falling.  J Q Construction was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1348930, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on May 09, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 7925 W. 90th St., Hickory Hills, IL.
