29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by rotating edges of the point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips: Plasma Welding area: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employer permits employees to operate a saw without adequate guarding. On 05/08/2019 an employee was exposed to unguarded rotating edges of a 2 1/2 inch section of the unused run of the blade of a horizontal metal band saw. The employee was exposed to amputation hazards.
