29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Employee was exposed to sparks that can burn the arms while cutting with a chop saw. The employer did not provide sleeve cover to protect the arm's skin. Other employees can also be exposed when they walk behind the chop saw.

29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: Employees were exposed to welding rays. The employer did not provide enough welding screens to cover the different stations at the east plant weld area. Employees were exposed to welding rays when they were stationed in front of each other. Specifically when they were not welding.
