29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    (a) Drury Brothers Roofing, Inc., as exposing and controlling employer, is failing ensure that its employee and employees of its subcontractor are safe from fall hazards during roofing work.  This was most recently observed on May 31, 2019, when an employee of Drury Brothers Roofing Inc. and employees of Vargas Exteriors LLC, subcontractor, were reroofing a recreation center building without fall protection.  The eaves of the roof were 14 feet above the ground on the south side of the building and 9.5 feet above the ground on the north side.  The pitch of the roof was 6:12.    Abatement Note:  Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").    Drury Brothers Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1251645, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on August 30, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 602 Main Street in Ordway, Colorado.    Drury Brothers Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1202462, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on February 14, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 4346 Yellow Dock Point in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
