29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):  The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets.      (a) Summit Communities, LLC, at 2300 W 76th Avenue, Denver, CO: On and around June 10, 2019, the employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Employees worked as maintenance technicians for an apartment complex. The employees were exposed to chemical hazards associated with the use of cleaning chemicals, pool chemicals, and paint.    Note: The requirements applicable to the construction standard under this section are identical to those set forth in 29 CFR 1926.59.

The employer had not provided the basic advisory information on respirators.  This condition potentially exposed employees to a respiratory hazard.
