Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.    (a) West, rewinding department, Bartell rewinder no. 3 (serial No. TU72-898-LH): on or about June 3, 2019, operators assigned to guide a winding cable by a gloved hand onto a rotating wooden reel had their fingers and hands exposed to ingoing nip points and caught-in hazards likely to result in serious injury because safeguards were not provided to prevent access to the danger zone.    (b) West, rewinding department, Bartell rewinder no. 3 (serial No. TU72-898-LH): on or about June 3, operators assigned to guide a winding cable by a gloved hand onto a rotating wooden reel had their fingers and hands exposed to a rotating reel's clamp caught-in hazard that was likely to result in serious injury because safeguards were not provided to prevent access to the danger zone.    Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
