29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use [ANSIZ358.1-2014]: (a) On or about June 21, 2019 - In the main corridor inspection area, the deluge shower/eye wash unit was not available for flushing of eyes and face because it was blocked with equipment, when employees use and/or handle corrosives agents, and compressed gasses, exposing employees to chemical burn hazard. Note: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and heath officer during the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s). (a) On or about June 21, 2019 - In the main corridor inspection area, the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) binder was obstructed preventing timely access to critical information, ultimately exposing employees to various hazardous conditions. Note: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was corrected while the compliance officer was onsite.
