29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of copper fume listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 0.1 milligrams per meter cubed: a.) GE Transportation a Wabtec Company, Building 18 South End, FMI area, on or about June 28th, 2019 and times prior thereto: A welder/assembler performing work operations including, but not limited to, air or plasma arc cutting of locomotives in the FMI area was exposed to copper fumes at a 8 hour Time-Weighted Average level of approximately 0.1107 mg/m3, which is approximately 1.1 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.1 mg/m3 for copper fumes. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over 253-minute period; the calculations include a zero value for the 227 minutes not sampled.

GE Transportation a Wabtec Company, Building 18 South End, FMI area, on or about June 28th, 2019 and times prior thereto: A welder/assembler performing work operations including, but not limited to, air or plasma arc cutting of locomotives in the FMI area was exposed to copper fumes at a 8 hour Time-Weighted Average level of approximately 0.1107 mg/m3, which is approximately 1.1 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.1 mg/m3 for copper fumes.
