29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    Residential worksite located at 4705 NE Saratoga Court in Lees Summit, Missouri- Employees were observed working on the edge of the 2nd floor and was not protected from falling by the use of any means of fall protection.       The Handyman Construction LLC company  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1340017, citation number 1, item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on February 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1312 Goshen Drive, Lees Summit, MO 66049.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:        At the residential construction site located at 4705 Saratoga Court in Lees Summit, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed accessing and egressing the roof by way of a portable ladder that did not extend 3 feet past landing.. Roofers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 12 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.
