29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: (Construction Reference 1926.103).  Naval Base Coronado: Camp Michael Monsoor: interior CQC building: An employee was required to use a 3M full face negative pressure respirator and a 3M N95 filtering face piece respirator while conducting spray painting operations on the interior building walls and ceiling. The employee was not medically evaluated to determine if the respirator by itself could create a hazard for the employee.  The employee is exposed to respiratory irritation hazards.

Naval Base Coronado: Camp Michael Monsoor: interior CQC building: An employee was using a 3M full face negative pressure respirator and a 3M N95 filtering face piece while painting walls and ceilings.  The 3M filtering face piece was stored on top of spray equipment.  The employer had not provided guidance on storing procedures specific to the two respirators. The employee was exposed to inhalation hazards.
