29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers was not provided, used, and/or maintained. On or about July 8, 2019, the employer failed to provide and require employees to wear, heat and cut resistant sleeves or long sleeved clothing when exposed to hot and sharp metal parts that have been fabricated for use in elevators. Employees are tasked with handling and removing the slag from these parts.

29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about July 8, 2019, the employer failed to provide and require employees to wear, heat and cut resistant gloves when exposed to handling hot and/or sharp metal parts that have been fabricated for use in elevators. Employees are tasked with handling and removing the slag from these parts.
