29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:    On or about July 16, 2019:   a)  In the Foundry Shop, the disconnect and electrical boxes on the MBD bandsaw, serial number 4367-07, were blocked by a garbage container, parts/tool table, and another bandsaw.      b)  In the Grind Shop, the disconnect for the belt and circle grinders were blocked by a 2000-pound gantry crane.      c)  In the PSI Lid Leak Test & Assembly Area of the Fab Shop, the electrical cabinet was blocked by a metal table.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about July 16, 2019, in the foundry shop, the unused portion of the MBD bandsaw with serial number 4367-3-07 between the stock and rollers was not guarded, exposing employees to amputation hazards.  Corbitt Manufacturing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1202771, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/24/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 Jones Rd, Paragould, AR 72450.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:    On or about July 16, 2019, the employer exposed employees to electrical and trips/fall hazards by using extension cords as a substitute for fixed wiring to provide power to:  a. the standing cooling fan and welding machines in the Fab shop by the welding station.   b. the standing cooling fans in the machine shop by the Okuma CNC machines.  c. extension cords zip tied to the grind station and lying on the floor in the Grind Shop from the outlet on the east wall.    Corbitt Manufacturing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1333866, citation number 1, item number 6b and was affirmed as a final order on January 15, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 Jones Rd, Paragould, AR 72450.
