29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was four feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Warehouse upstairs storage area: Employees unloading pallets of parts near an unprotected edge were exposed to a 12 ft. fall hazard to the concrete floor below.
