29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(iii)(A): Vehicles or mechanical equipment capable of having parts of their structures elevated near energized overhead lines were not operated so that a clearance of 10 feet (305 cm) was maintained: a. NH Rt. 101 East, Mile Marker 127 - On 7/24/2019, an employee was seriously injured when he received an electrical shock while performing crack sealing work. A light tower being transported on the back of a truck bed struck the overhead power line that crossed over the highway.

29 CFR 1910.335(b): Alerting techniques were not employed to warn and protect employees from hazards which could cause injury due to electric shock, burns, or failure of electric equipment parts: a. NH Rt. 101 East, Mile Marker 127 - Alerting techniques to warn employees of overhead powerlines were not in place while performing crack sealing operations. A light tower traveling on the bed of a truck was extended to a height which was greater than the overhead powerlines and struck one of the lines resulting in an employee suffering serious injuries.
