29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Jose Gonzalez Construction located at 230 E. Long Street, Columbus, OH 43215: On and preceding July 29, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees engaged in work on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was approximately 60 feet above the lower level was protected from falling.  A framer was acting as a receiver assisting the crane operator with bundles of wall on the top floor of the project.  The framer was not utilizing a personal fall arrest system nor was any other method of fall protection being utilized.  The following condition exposed the employee to falls from height.  Jose Gonzalez Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1099621, citation number 1, Item 2a, issued March 2, 2016 and became a final order on April 21, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at Jefferson Crossing, Charles Town, WV 25414.
