Employees were observed using pneumatic staple gun without the use of protective eyewear. b) At a worksite located at 1321 NE Bradywine Rd, Lee's Summit, MO: Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. Employees were observed using a angle grinder with cutting saw attachment without the use of protective eyewear.

This was demonstrated on or about July 11, 2019 when employees were mixing bags of Ash Grove Pro Mix at the worksite and cutting decorative stone to be installed at the worksite. The product contains crystalline silica and no hazard communication program had been developed or implemented at the worksite.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section: At a worksite located at 1321 NE Bradywine Rd, Lee's Summit, MO: Employees were engaged cutting of decorative stone. Wet methods or dust/vacuum collection systems were not in use. Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards from the accumulation of dust when the vacuums systems or wet methods were not utilized during the course of the project. This was demonstrated on or about July 11, 2019 when employees were cutting decorative stone at the worksite.
