29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: A) Main shop area: On or about August 07, 2019 and at times prior, employees were exposed to caught in hazards from unguarded rotating chuck while engaging in work activities on the Jet Lathe, Model No JET-1236P Serial Number 8016. B) Main shop area: On or about August 07, 2019 and at times prior employees were exposed to, struck by hazards while pressing various engine and transmission parts with the unguarded Yellow Hydraulic Press. C) Main shop area: On or about August 07, 2019, and at times prior, employees were exposed to caught in hazards from the rotating chuck while operating the Cincinnati Lathe and Tool Co. 18 inch Royal Drill Press . D) Main shop area. On or about August 07, 2019, and at times prior, employees were exposed to caught in hazards from the rotating chuck while operating the Delta Floor Drill Press. E) Main shop area. On or about August 07, 2019 and at times prior, employees were exposed to caught in hazards from the rotating chuck while operating the Clausing Floor Drill Press.

Compressed air nozzles operating at a shop pressure of (37 PSI) were not equipped with safety nozzles. b) Main shop area: On or about August 7, 2019, and at times prior, employer failed to ensure that air nozzles used for cleaning parts and work areas were reduced to less than 30 PSI at the nozzle. Compressed air nozzles operating at shop pressure (72 PSI) were not equipped with safety nozzles.
