29 CFR 1910.95(g)(8)(ii)(B): Unless a physician determines that the standard threshold shift is not work-related or aggravated by occupational noise exposure, the employer did not ensure, when a standard threshold shift occurs, that for employees already using hearing protectors, employees be refitted and retrained in the use of hearing protectors and provided with hearing protectors offering greater attenuation if necessary:    a.)  Consolidated Container Company, LLC, production areas, on or about August 15th, 2019 and times prior thereto:  An employee working in blow mold area of the facility experienced a standard threshold shift in hearing.  The employer did not conduct refitting and retraining on hearing protection with this employee.  Additionally, the employer did not determine if the employee required hearing protection with greater attenuation.       ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:  Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
