29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: On or about August 19, 2019, and times prior thereto: a. In Bay #1, where employees were exposed to struck-by and thermal hazards when operating a 4-post hydraulic press, ID #1 without point of operation guards designed and constructed to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. b. In Bay #1, where employees were exposed to struck-by and thermal hazards when operating a 4-post hydraulic press, ID #7 without point of operation guards designed and constructed to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. c. In Bay #1, where employees were exposed to struck-by and thermal hazards when operating a 4-post hydraulic press, ID #9 without point of operation guards designed and constructed to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. d. In Bay #1, where employees were exposed to struck-by and thermal hazards when operating a 4-post hydraulic press, ID #10 without point of operation guards designed and constructed to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. NIALTI MANUFACTURING, LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.213(a)(ii), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1403209 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JULY 11, 2019, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 12018 PALMERTON DRIVE, HOUSTON, TX 77064.
