29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: a) On or about August 21, 2019 and at times prior, the employer's assessment of their workplace requires the workers to wear slip-resistant shoes while working at the wet processing production area to protect them from slip hazards. The employees were observed wearing casual street shoes that were not slip-resistant while working at the production area.

29 CFR 1910.132(h)(1): Except as provided by paragraphs (h)(2) through (h)(6) of this section, the protective equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), used to comply with this part, was not provided by the employer at no cost to employees: a) On or about August 21, 2019 and at times prior, the employer required employees to wear slip-resistant shoes while working at the wet processing production area to prevent slip hazards. The employer did not provide slip-resistant shoes at no cost to the employees.
