29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords may not be used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure; On or about August 26, 2019, throughout the production area flexible cords were used as a substitute for fixed wiring. This exposed employees to burns from arcing and electrical fires. (a) A flexible cord was ran on the floor and over a walkway to power a Protemp fan between an exit door and a loading dock. (b) A flexible cord was used to power a Protemp fan in the cutting area for machine operators. (c) A flexible cord was used to power a Master Force fan next to the Jennerjahn #6 for machine operators. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
