29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Employees engaged in painting on the east side of a commercial building located at 12280 W. 135th Street, Overland Park, Kansas were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 15 feet due to no fall protection system being provided while transferring from the building's upper landing to the aerial lift. (b) Employees engaged in painting on the east side of a commercial building located at 12280 W. 135th Street, Overland Park, Kansas were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 15 feet due to the safety harness lanyard being attached to a commercial building water drain cap.
