29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) Shop Floor: On or about August 3, 2019 and times prior, employees operated a Baldor abrasive wheel bench grinder to knock off notches. The adjustable tongue guard was not adequately adjusted in that there was a 1 inch opening between the abrasive wheel and the tongue guard. The Dickirson Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.215(b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1150668, citation number1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 8, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Ripley, West Virginia.
