Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Located at 6648 Buckmeyer Drive in Marysville, Ohio: On or about September 6, 2019, the employer did not ensure employees working from the second floor performing framing work were protected from fall hazards at unprotected sides of the floor, at unprotected window openings, and at unprotected edges at the basement stairwell opening. The condition exposed employees to fall hazards up to nineteen foot. Juan M Dominguez Martinez was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1364366, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/31/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 6590 Marshview Drive, Lot 93, Hilliard, Ohio.
