29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: At this worksite in the composite shop on the northeast side, an employee used an air hose for cleaning purposes which was not equipped with an effective reducing valve or other method to prevent the psi (pounds per square inch) from exceeding 30 psi. Gulf Coast Repair & Machine Shop, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.242(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1234060, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 31, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 6802 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78409.
