29 CFR 1926.304(d): 29 CFR 1926.304(d): Each portable, power-driven circular saw withdrawn from  the work did not automatically and instantly return the lower guard to the  covering position of the saw.    (a) New residential construction located on Lot #2, Second floor: On or about 10/01/2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to severe laceration and amputation hazards while operating circular saws, in that the lower guard was fixed in the upward position with a wood shim which prevented the automatic return of the lower guard after a cut was made.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles.    (a) New residential construction located on Lot #2, Rear roof: On or about 10/01/2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards while operating pneumatic framing nail guns, in that protective eyewear was not provided to employees firing 2-3/8-inch plastic collated nails while securing plywood to the roof rafters. Employees using these tools were exposed to flying wood particles, plastic debris, and fasteners which each pull of the trigger.    RDO Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1415548, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/24/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 256 Linch Road, Lot 6 Graceton Farms, Turin, GA.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:     (a) New residential construction located on Lot #2, Rear roof: On or about 10/01/2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 21-feet, 6-inches to the lower level, in that a fall protection system was not provided to employees engaged in framing and sheathing activities on the 3/12 pitched roof.    RDO Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1415548, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/24/19, with respect to a workplace located at 256 Linch Road, Lot #6 Graceton Farms, Turin, GA.
