Employees were exposed to fall hazards of 10 feet 9 inches and they were not using they fall protection properly.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program did not enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. Eagle Roofing, Inc. worksite located in Pemberville, OH: On or about October 4, 2019 the employer did not ensure employees performing roofing work on a residential structure were properly trained on the use of fall protection to protect themselves from fall hazards of 10 feet 9 inches to the ground. Employees were attaching their lanyards to their leg straps and to the front of their harnesses instead of the D ring in the center of their back.
