29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: A.) Select Roofing; 2251 W. 23rd Street, Erie, PA - On or about 10/9/19, and at times prior thereto, employees were engaged in roofing activities without utilizing fall protection. The employees were performing coating/sealing of a flat roof. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Select Roofing - On or about 10/9/19, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not initiate and maintain safety and health programs, in that, the company did not provide its employees with general safety and health rules when performing construction activities.
