29 CFR 1910.28(b)(13)(ii): (ii) When work is performed at least 6 feet (1.6 m) but less than 15 feet (4.6 m) from the roof edge, the employer must ensure each employee is protected from falling by using a guardrail system, safety net system, travel restraint system, or personal fall arrest system. The employer may use a designated area when performing work that is both infrequent and temporary. While on top of powder coat oven, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard to reset the burner without utilizing appropriate fall protection.

29 CFR 1910.146(c)(2): If the workplace contains permit spaces, the employer shall inform exposed employees, by posting danger signs or by any other equally effective means, of the existence and location of and the danger posed by the permit spaces. NOTE: A sign reading DANGER -- PERMIT-REQUIRED CONFINED SPACE, DO NOT ENTER or using other similar language would satisfy the requirement for a sign. The powder coat dip tank, assessed by Schneider Electric as a permit-required confined space based, had signage on the dip tank as a non-permit required confined space, and exposed employees to an engulfment hazard and allowing employees to enter tank without any restrictions.

29 CFR 1910.147(f)(2)(i): Whenever outside servicing personnel are to be engaged in activities covered by the scope and application of this standard, the on-site employer and the outside employer shall inform each other of their respective lockout or tagout procedures. The employer had not informed a contractor of their respective lockout or tagout procedures on or before August 30,2019, when the contractor was performing maintenance and repair work on the Trumfps machine which required the lockout of the machine.
