29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The controlling contractor is failing to ensure that all employees of the sub-contractor Paiz Construction LLC are protected from fall hazards while working on a residential roof. This was most recently documented on October 17, 2019 on the jobsite located at 9409 Wishing Well Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516. Four employees from Paiz Construction LLC were observed tearing off old shingles on the roof of an existing house. Four of the employees were not utilizing any form of fall protection. The house ground to eve height is approximately eleven feet. Buhr Construction INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1172602, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on November 21, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 2741 Jackson Drive, Lincoln, NE 68502.
