29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the jobsite located at 25144 W. 105th Terrace, Olathe, Kansas: Employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to fall hazards in that: a) Employees working from and walking on the top plates were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the top plates to the interior floor and ground below in that fall protection was not provided and used. b) Employees working from and walking near unprotected window openings were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the walking working surface to the ground below in that the window openings were not protected by a guardrail system and/or personal fall arrest systems were not provided and used.
