29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: A.) John Corwin dba Corwin Construction Company, 4816 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510, south side of the structure on the canopy, on or about October 22, 2019 and times prior thereto: An employee was preforming work activities that included, but was not limited to, troubleshooting a truss installation. The employee was working near edge at a height of 10.7-feet without the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, and/or a personal fall arrest system. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
