On or about October 28, 2019, employees were required to wear NIOSH approved, 3M Brand, N95 filtering facepiece dustmask respirators when mixing and sanding concrete products and the employer did not implement a written respiratory protection program that addressed the worksite-specific procedures such as but not limited to employee medical evaluations, fit testing, and training on the use, maintenance and care of the respirators.

On or about October 28, 2019, employees used hazardous materials such as but not limited to acetone, cement colors, silicone, and Portland cement while working in the fabrication area and the employer did not provide information and training on the health and physical hazards of these chemicals.   RJ Staab Stone Company of Florida, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1079367, citation number 1, item number 3c and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1240 NW 6th Ave., Gainesville, Florida 32601.  RJ Staab Stone Company of Florida, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1129363, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 31, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1240 NW 6th Ave., Gainesville, Florida 32601.
