29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms without being specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use: a) Jobsite, 101 Woodstone Lane, New Kensington, PA 15068: On or about November 4, 2019, employees were working on a platform attached to the forks of a JCB brand 510-56 telescopic forklift to install hand rails on the uppermost floors of a condominium complex. The platform and forks were not designed by the manufacturer for such use. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet to the ground below.

The industrial truck was not equipped with a safety platform/cage firmly secured to the lifting carriage and/or forks when used for lifting personnel. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet to the ground below.
