29 CFR 1910.107(i)(8): Electrical equipment for electrostatic hand spraying was not so interlocked with the ventilation of the spraying area(s) that the equipment could not be operated unless the ventilation fan(s) were in operation: a.) F3 Metalworx, Inc. - employees conducted powder coating operations in the employer's powder coating booth throughout each workshift. On or about, and dates prior to, November 15, 2019, electrostatic hand-held spray guns were operable when the ventilation fans were not in operation. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: a.) F3 Metalworx, Inc. - On or about November 19, 2019 the seal between the tight-fitting respirator facepiece and a coater's face was compromised by facial hair. Coaters were required to wear Northern Safety brand N95 particulate respirators during powder coating operations. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
