29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials, a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour: a) Wheatland Tube. 1 Council Street Wheatland, PA/Fab Shop: On or about February 6, 2020, the steel barrier separating the oxygen and fuel gas cylinders did not meet the fire resistance rating. In addition to not meeting the fire resistance rating, the steel barrier for the empty cylinders was not tall enough and was less than 5-feet high. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
